Rugby Performance Programmes

Rugby is very demanding on the muscular and skeletal systems. The game and its demands are very uncertain and requires players to adapt and overcome effectively on and off the field.
 
What you need:
  • Power & Strength- The high levels of impact on the body will need to be equally met with the appropriate counter-force for you to overcome, and achieve the upper hand over your opponent.
  • Speed - The game demands playing through multi-planar movements at speed. For you as an Athlete to have the upper hand over your opponent, you need to be faster whilst having effective levels of body control and balance
  • Proprioception - To be devastating on the field, it’s not just in the obvious movement you make, rather high levels of proprioception are required for you to gain the upper hand over your opponent by a slight of hand and eye coordination.
 
What The S&C Coach can provide you:
Access to our extensive library of gym and pitch based S&C drills will give you the additional work for you to perform at intermittent periods during your weekly training.
 
How we can work together:
After our initial face-to-face consultation, a structured and tailored programme specific to your functional needs shall be produced which shall enhance your effectiveness as an Athlete. We shall have regular consultations to look at progress, reaffirm or set new goals and we shall also put you through Performance Testing and explain the outcomes. Remember, statistics are essential feedback tools.
