Triathlon Performance Programmes​

Triathlon is a very unique sport whereby the demand is multifaceted on the body.  Functional and specific training is key to overcome the demands of the Swim, Bike and Run.
 
What you need:
  • Power & Strength - whether you need to develop stroke strength in the swim, power development and output on the bike or core stability and strength endurance on the run you cannot simply focus on just one of these factors. Similar to the multi-disciplined sport, training also has to be made up of a multifaceted approach.   
  • Speed – for you to gain the upper hand across the field, whether this be seconds, these seconds count! Following a speed-strength programme along with technical sessions will encourage you to work faster in the water, omit higher amounts of power on the bike and enhance your running gate. 
  • Flexibility – working to enhance your range of motion to increase your reach in the swim, enable you to comfortably stay on your drops on the bike and open your gate on the run, stems from following a specific in-depth flexibility programme.  Working on your flexibility will also encourage faster recovery and prevent injury. Here at The S&C Coach we have just the resources, programmes and drills for you to achieve greater ranges of motion and flexibility.

Access to our extensive library of gym and pitch based S&C drills will give you the additional work for you to perform at intermittent periods during your weekly training. 
 
How we can work together:
After our initial face-to-face consultation, a structured and tailored programme specific to your functional needs shall be produced which shall enhance your effectiveness as an Athlete. We shall have regular consultations to look at progress, reaffirm or set new goals and we shall also put you through Performance Testing and explain the outcomes. Remember, statistics are essential feedback tools.
